Supporting Ambleside Arrows U14s – The importance of community sponsorship
At MPL Fabrications, we believe that businesses should actively support their local communities, and we’re incredibly proud to sponsor Ambleside Arrows U14s, a talented grassroots football team based in Nuneaton.
This season has been a huge step up for the team as they’ve joined the Midland Junior Premier League (MJPL) for the first time. The league features 75 teams, with fixtures set every three weeks based on performance levels, ensuring competitive matchups. The team has faced some top-tier opposition, including players with academy-level experience, and their hard work and dedication have been truly inspiring.
Why Community Sponsorship matters
Grassroots football isn’t just about the game – it’s about building confidence, resilience, and teamwork. However, funding can be a challenge for local teams, and sponsorship plays a crucial role in ensuring young players have access to the resources they need to thrive.

A challenging yet rewarding season
Travel distances have significantly increased for the team this season, including long away fixtures like Nantwich (Cheshire) – one of the league’s furthest locations. Despite this, the boys have adapted incredibly well, playing against some of the strongest teams in the region. Their physical and tactical development has been clear to see, and we’re especially proud to see them taking on multiple positions, adapting to different formations, and continuing to grow in confidence.
